No win no fee personal injury claims are considered to be civil claims, which involve both damages and liability. These claims cover accidents where physical injury has occurred as a result of third party negligence.

Auto accidents are the most common type of personal injury claims, with other common types including "slip and fall", medical malpractice and dog attacks. The amount received for these claims varies based on the details of an individual claim, and many factors are considered such as the type of injury and whether the damage is permanent or temporary. An attorney is your best resource for pursuing these claims, and they can help you to resolve your claim through a negotiated settlement, a jury trial or a formal arbitration. You should contact a seasoned attorney which will only receive payment if they successfully prosecute your claim. This ensures that their remuneration is only based on outstanding performance.

Drivers allowing their car insurance coverage to lapse before purchasing another have to pay 5.7% more for annual coverage than those maintaining continuous coverage. This revelation comes through an assessment of 184,000 car insurance policies sold through Insurance.com in 2009 and 2010. The penalty becomes even greater, while insuring multiple cars. Policies covering two or more cars are 12% more expensive for drivers with a car insurance coverage lapse than for those whose car insurance policies have not lapsed.
A clear deduction arising from the assessment is that dropping a car insurance to save a small amount of money is not a wise decision. To avoid a lapse in car insurance coverage and restore it before termination, it is advisable that the car insurance bill is paid on time. People should also ensure that an existing car insurance policy is not cancelled before a new car insurance policy purchased, is enforced. This is to avoid a penalty for policy lapse.

A survey by online car insurance firm Swinton found that 34% of online customers had not had an eye test in over four years. The company is warning motorists that they should have regular eye tests, and failure to do so was breaking the law and could result in having their licenses revoked.

Steve Chelton, an insurance development manager at the company, said that those who drive with poor eyesight increase their changes of having an accident, which can lead to higher car insurance claims and a possible increase in future premiums as well. The survey found that 26% of customers had not visited an optician for between four and six years, 14% between six and eight years, 10% between eight and ten years, and 6% in over 10 years.
